The HOTEL by Gold Dust is housed in what was once an apartment building built in 1903 on Lee Street in historic downtown Deadwood. Fast forward 80 or 90 years and it was vacated and eventually fell into disrepair. Lamont Companies purchased the building, gave it a complete renovation and upgrade, and made it into the most unique, upscale boutique hotel in Deadwood. And in keeping with the flavor and flair that is Deadwood, you can still see some of the original fire escapes and views of other historic buildings and local sites from your room, just like those who slept here 100 years ago did.
